September 27 @ 8:00 am - October 1 @ 4:30 pm
The IAVSA has provided professional voice stress training and other police related topics since 1995. Our Board of Directors has always been comprised of active and retired law enforcement officers. We understand budget & personnel issues and work closely with law enforcement agencies. Compare our prices. The cost to the agency is typically less than half of a competitor’s cost for training.
The IAVSA provides training to examiners that utilize either the CVSA® or Vipre Technologies instruments. The IAVSA is the oldest VSA training association in existence.Several agencies have acquired both instruments and received dual certification for their attending examiners, at no additional charge. We are the only association that provides dual certification for the CVSA® and Vipre Systems instruments.

Instructor: Ben Conrique
Ben retired after 20 years of service with the San Diego Sheriff’s Office. In 1995, he attended the Backster School of Lie Detection and became a Certified Polygraph Examiner. In 1998, Ben attended a CEC class and became a Certified Computer Voice Stress Analyzer (CVSA) examiner, and later became a Certified Vipre Systems examiner. During his tenure with the San Diego Sheriff’s Office, Ben conducted more than 1,600 examinations.
Ben was selected by the National Institute of Truth Verification (NITV) and trained as an instructor for the CVSA® in 2004. Ben taught classes for NITV until circa 2010, at which time he left their employ. He taught 70 or more examiner certification courses and recertification classes. After leaving NITV, Ben began teaching Criminal Justice and Spanish at a local High School. And, in 2019, Ben was selected by the IAVSA to teach classes for us. We are very happy that Ben chose to return to voice stress and teach classes for the IAVSA.
